Hayden Adams, the creator of Uniswap, needed to develop the Uniswap frontend in less than one month. To achieve this ambitious goal, he hired Jacky Chan, the VP of Engineering at Kyokan.
With Hayden's frontend specification and Callil's designs, Jacky was able to build the frontend in less than one month; with Kenny Tram assistance for smaller parts of the project.
The First Token Exchange
Uniswap V1, the first version of the protocol, was launched in November 2018 at DEVCON 4. This version of Uniswap introduced a decentralized exchange protocol that allowed for the seamless exchange of ERC20 tokens on Ethereum.
The $JCD ERC20 token was exchanged with $HAY to test the “Token to Token” function, demonstrating the protocol’s capability to facilitate direct ERC20-ERC20 trades in a single transaction.
Ashleigh Schap Role
Ashleigh Schap played a significant role at Uniswap as the Growth Lead. In this position, she was instrumental in driving the platform’s expansion and adoption within the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. Her efforts contributed to Uniswap’s prominence as a leading DEX on the Ethereum blockchain.
She thought that those two tokens were cool and asked for help to make $SCHAP, her own memecoin.
